In the months of MARCH, APRIL,
MAY, JUNE, JULY, AUGUST, OCTOBER the programme is always the
following:
Every Monday, Tuesday and
Wednesday of the month there are
special concerts “Puccini and Mozart” always with different
performers and programmes.
Every Thursday of the
month there is “A night at the opera”
with arias and duets from the Italian operatic repertoire
(Puccini, Verdi, Leoncavallo, Doninzetti, Mascagni and others)
Every Friday of the month
there are Mozart and Puccini arias and duets from
Le Nozze di Figaro, Coś fan tutte, Don Giovanni,
Madama Butterfly, La Boheme, Tosca.
Every Saturday of the
month there is “A night at the opera”
with arias and duets from the Italian operatic repertoire.
Every Sunday of the month
there is Puccini and the Neapolitan traditional songs.
SEPTEMBER
has the same programme written above apart from the following:
Special opera production of the
Festival: 25th – 26th – 27th
of September @ 7.30pm. “Suor Angelica” by Giacomo Puccini
and “Cavalleria Rusticana” by Pietro Mascagni with soloists,
choir and orchestra of the Festival “Puccini and his Lucca”.
NOVEMBER
has the same programme written above apart from
the following:
On Sunday the 29th
of November at 9.15pm in the Church of
San Giovanni: Gala Concert for the 85th anniversary
of the death of Giacomo Puccini (programme to be announced).
DECEMBER
has the same programme written above apart from
the following special concerts:
On the 25th of
December at 6pm at the Church of San
Giovanni a Christmas concert with Puccini and traditional
Christmas songs.
On the 26th of
December at 6pm at the Church of San
Giovanni a concert with Puccini and the Neapolitan songs.
On the 31st of
December at 6pm at the Church of San
Giovanni a Great Opera Gala and at 11pm at the Auditorium of San
Romano in Lucca a Great New Year’s Eve Concert with the Strauss
Konzert Orchestra conducted by Andrea Colombini (Orchestral
showpieces).
On the 1st of
January at 5.30pm at the Church of San
Giovanni a New Year’s Concert with the music of the Strauss’
Family with the Strauss Konzert Orchestra.
On the 2nd of
January at 6pm at the Church of San
Giovanni “The Last Night of the proms in Lucca” with British
music by Elgar, Grainge, Handel, Arne played by Strauss Konzert
Orchestra.

April 2009 at 9 pm, Theatre Verdi in
Pisa: Jeffrey Swan playing the piano in the first concert of the
seminary Music and the contaminations:
Monsters and devils.
On Thursday the 23rd
of April 2009 at 9 pm, Theatre Verdi
in Pisa: Jeffrey Swan playing the piano in the second concert of
the seminary Music and the
contaminations: Voices and landscapes.
On Tuesday the 28th
of April 2009 at 9 pm, Theatre Verdi
in Pisa: Jeffrey Swan playing the piano in the third concert of
the seminary Music and the
contaminations: Reflexes and memories.

project “European music school”.

of May 2009 at 9 pm, Theatre Verdi in
Pisa: European music school playing
Second concert of the project “European music school”.
On Thursday the 18th
of June 2009 at 9 pm, Church of Saint
Paul, Ripa d’Arno: Vincenzo Galilei Choir, Baroque
Instrumental Ensemble singing Allegri and Haendel. Free
entrance.
